Spam Filters in Shared Hosting
Our shared hosting servers use one of the best anti-spam filters available. It is called SpamAssassin and is available with each and every cloud hosting plan, so if you host your domain names with our company, you can pick one of the 5 levels of protection that the anti-spam filter offers for any mailbox that you have here. You can do this with just two clicks from the Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel that’s used to manage all hosting accounts. SpamAssassin ‘scans’ the header and the body of each email, gives it a spam score and then proceeds according to the level that you’ve selected. Each email account can have a different level and you can choose if the messages that the anti-spam filter flags as spam should be erased or forwarded to a separate email address where you can check them later, so as to avoid erasing a legitimate email. Switching to a different level or deactivating the spam protection is also surprisingly easy.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you use one of our Linux semi-dedicated hosting packages, you will not need to worry about junk emails stuffing your mailboxes every once in a while, as you can resort to the famous SpamAssassin anti-spam filter that we provide with every semi-dedicated hosting account. Our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel will allow you to enable the filter for any email account with several clicks of the mouse and you can pick one of the five levels of protection – from very low to very high. The level can be changed at any time if, for example, genuine email messages get filtered, or if unsolicited bulk messages go through and reach your inbox. To take no chances, you can choose all filtered messages to be forwarded to a special email account such as [email protected] and not to be erased. In this way, you can examine them every now and then to ensure that you haven’t missed a genuine message.
